A gifted writer doesn't *need* formal education, but it sure doesn't hurt. It expands your universe and improves your writing ability. Realistically though, probably less than 1% of writers can survive from their writing. You need a backup plan. Getting a college degree or learning a skilled trade will provide you the means to support yourself if writing doesn't pan out (or at least will keep you alive til your writing takes off). Help Publishing on Windows Movie Maker?

Ive made three videos on WMM and each 1 will save correctly, but wen i try 2 publish it it wont do it properly. I actually asked the same thing not too long ago. I've been coming (or at least trying) up with a series since I was 12, I'm 21 now. I've had at least 2-3 really good/creative ones, but died out over time when I had to focus on work/school, so now i'm trying to get back into it. The best advice I could give you from my experience, BE ORIGINAL, yet good. The one thing I hate is people just do the same BS over n over. Don't get me wrong, it's ok to have strong influences from certain stories, but try to make it something uniquely yours. If you're dead serious about getting the right art supplies, there are professional kits ranging in prices, it depends, look it up. They usually have everything from pen, basic drawing pencils, shading pencils...ect. I think the trickiest part is getting decent colors. As for publishing I'm not sure. I heard Akira Toriyama (creator of dragonball (z)) got big/noticed after winning a contest when he submitted his comics/drawing he made as a hobby and from there started getting his stuff published from there. I'm not too professional myself, so this is all I can tell ya, hope I helped

Here's the deal. I love writing, in fact one day I want to be a screenwriter/novelist. However, I'm a realist and know I need something stable and retail is just not working out for me anymore. I'm 34 and want to feel content in my career area before I hit 40. So I was thinking about culinary school. People say I'm a good at cooking and would make a great chef. Two schools I'm considering are New England Culinary Institute (Montpelier, Vt.) or the French Culinary Institute (Campbell Ca. and NYC). Before I make that next step I'm wondering if I should give it a few more months to see if anything happens with my writing and then go into it. If I sell a novel or screenplay by January I can afford the school. I've got some connections in the NYC publishing world. I kind of want to avoid having to get grants and financial aid. So bottom line is should I do this or wait to see how the writing pans out? I don't want to get my degree in it and find out one cancels out the other because of time constraints.

If not, then you may need to wait because without real connections in the publishing business publishers will not listen to you. I made a trilogy and using connections my older cousin had I got it published. But he said it was a ton of work on his part, and my trilogy was also banned in the US. So it might not be totally worth the work.

I caught trespassers bulldozing my property that I've owned for over 50 years. These unknown "thugs" went down to their friend the Magistrate and the Magistrate "wrote" out the criminal complaint (in Magistrate's own handwriting" "made up the content" the "thugs" signed the criminal complaints and the Magistrate issued three summons for my arrest for "Peace Bonds" against me on my own property for telling these unknown trespassers to leave my property. This was all witnessed by other people when I caught these "thugs" bulldozing and taking down my trees. I retained an attorney, went to Court, and another Magistrate told these "thugs" to never do anything like that again. The Magistrate let these "thugs" go. The Magistrate did not make the "thugs" pay for the damage or my expenses. I now have a criminal history for three misdemeanors on crimes that I did not commit. So, I had to file for an expungement. So, I filed a complaint against the Magistrate that conspired with the "thugs" with the Judicial Commission and have attempted to get the Prosecuting Attorney to pursue criminal charges against these unknown "thugs" for extortion. (These "thugs" have continuously returned to my property and continue to cause damage.) The prosecuting attorney will not pursue charges and will not take my telephone calls or respond to my correspondence. In fact I am unable to get any local attorney to assist me due to the corrupt involvement of the local Magistrate. I filed for an injunction against these terrible criminals and have provided my deed, survey, witness statements, witness testimony and the "thugs" have provided "nothing". These terrible unknown men have stalked, harassed, threatened, assaulted, threatened to file more false criminal reports against me, etc.. --- The local sheriff took a report, but never investigated and stated that "a lot of very powerful people in the community " were watching this situation. -- The deputy said that is all that he could do for me. -- It has been over one year with 6 "show cause" hearings and the "thugs" attorney just keeps continuing and continuing. -- I have filed three "motions for Summary Judgment" , but the Judge just keeps denying my Motions, but will not give me an order with the facts and conclusions of law. I have requested that the Court provide me with the Court's order so that I can appeal the denial of my motions for summary judgment. These "thugs" need to be prosecuted for their criminal acts and I can't seem to get the Court, prosecuting attorney or law enforcement to do their job. So, how do I get the prosecuting attorney to at least investigate this matter?

Well the way I am thinking about titling my novel is ([main character] and [the subtitle]). It sounds good, is this a part of your book that is supposed to make the reader feel suspense, or a very significant turning point part of the book? If so, the only thing i can say is the dialogue sentences are very long and in one piece. Maybe try not to rush the dialogue and try to build suspense with it, and narrow down the dialogue.

Why don't passenger vehicles have removable rear quarter panels?

The way they mount parts of the body usually have to do with the nature of impact common to its location. The reason we can have modular front fenders is because they are part of crumple zones. The thing about crumple zones though is that they only spread the energy out, they don't absorb it. The firewall is what absorbs it. Unless we install firewalls in the rear there isn't a safe way to have rear crumple zones. Instead of adding all that extra weight and wasting material they just make a more solid fender in the first place, and it seems to work considering that most parents trust the backseat to keep their kids safe.

Say a story is REALLY cliche, do you even bother trying to read it?

What I mean is that if a story has a really cliche main plot, do you bother to at least try it? Or do you just dump it? Because a huge idea in my story (going to another world) is waaaaaay too cliche for some people's liking. But I'm afraid when and IF I get it published the other world thing will be a turn-off. As you've said Down's is due to a trisomy mutation. And thats the key, its a mutation. A 'species' of people with Down sydrome wouldn't naturally occur through evolution since a mutation is a 'spontanious change in the structure or arrangement of DNA'. Also if you think about it logically and applied a catch all mutation = different species where would we be! I certainly don't consider someone with albinoism a different species, nor someone with black skin. Also the definition of a species is 'two organisms that come together to produce viable/fertile offpspring'. I know my answer isn't definitive but I think I'll have to go with mutation, rather than speciation.

I think an interesting activity would be to do a puzzle activity with this long poem. Divide the class into groups of 3 to 4 students. Give each student index cards, with only one verse on each card. Mix up the cards very well and see if students can arrange the index cards in the proper order for the poem to make sense. I think this would be a fun activity. It might even be fun to have each group read what it thinks is the proper cards in order. After each group has read, then you should read the correct version out-loud. Only then will students realize how close they were, or perhaps some might just get them all correct. Enjoy!

Though age should not matter, many agents will reject your work if they find out you are under 18 because of legal responsibilities, as I understand. As far as length goes, I don't think there is a specific one you should limit yourself to. Think about the different books you've seen. Well before the start of my senior year I decided I wanted to enlist in the Navy. The only problem was that I was about 60 lbs overweight. My mind was set on the Navy so I decided to try and lose some weight..In about 9 months I have lost close to 50 pounds by pure diet and exercise. I didnt do any hardcore cardio or dumb shortcuts..I just ate healthier and went to the gym 3-5 times a week..all I did was the elliptical and ab workouts such as scissor kicks, crunches, and sit ups. I am proud to say that I am almost at my goal and I wont stop until my goal is reached.

Reoccurring nightmare about baby killing mother?

My wife is currently pregnant and ever since we found out, I've been having very disturbing dreams about the baby forcing it's way out through my wife's stomach. Computer problem please help!?

so my computer made funny smells like plastic burning and i decided it was time for a dusting. so i unscrewed the heatsink and now the backing plate is slideing around behind my motherboard and i can not get to it without takeing it all appart. i gorilla glued the heatsink to the proccessor. will this be ok? will it hold it down? i also reapplied thermal paste cuz the manufacturer's paste was old and not very pastee anymore. the backing plate is still lose behinf the motherboard. will this cause problems? also i did not glue the heatsink directly to the motherboard, i glue down the black thing that the heatsink attaches itself to. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up to complete this question.

Remind yourself of your good qualities. If you think you need antidepressants, don't be afraid to use them, they're supposed to help, but if you don't want to, that's fine. You're still young, things will change for you. It takes a lot of strength to stop using drugs and better yet, have no desire to use them again. You need someone to be able to talk to about anything. Forget about the people who left you in your life, no point in thinking about them. It's obvious that everyone isn't out to get you, i know it may seem like that at times but try to think of how unreal that actually is. You need to keep hope that things will change and you won't feel this way always. It's absolutely normal to fantasise for a better life, in fact you should keep doing that because it's almost like a goal for you. Try to acheive that better life, don't give up, there's a reason things haven't been going too well. Let your life take it's course, things don't change in a day. I don't know you, but i know how you feel and in that sense you're not alone even if you feel lonely. There's a reason your suicide attempt failed!
